Terms of Service
Effective Date: February 9, 2026
Welcome to StreamWatch! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StreamWatch mobile application and related services. By accessing or using StreamWatch, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our application.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using StreamWatch, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Use of the Application
StreamWatch is designed to help you track and watch live streams from various platforms. The application accesses publicly available streaming data and uses technology inspired by tools like Streamlink CLI to provide a convenient viewing experience.
You agree to use the application only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of StreamWatch complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
3. Disclaimers and Limitations
- "Use at Your Own Risk": StreamWatch is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components. Your use of the application is solely at your own risk.
- Third-Party Streams: StreamWatch aggregates and facilitates access to content from third-party streaming platforms (e.g., Twitch, YouTube Live). We do not host or control this content. You acknowledge that we are not responsible for the availability, quality, or content of these third-party streams.
- Compliance with Platform Terms: You are solely responsible for complying with the terms of service, community guidelines, and any other policies of the streaming platforms whose content you access through StreamWatch. We are not liable for any violations of such third-party terms by you.
- Ad-Free Experience: While StreamWatch aims to provide ad-free viewing options where technically feasible (often by leveraging extraction methods similar to CLI tools), we cannot guarantee an entirely ad-free experience on all platforms or for all content. The presence or absence of ads is largely determined by the third-party streaming providers.
- No Endorsement: StreamWatch does not endorse or affiliate with any specific streaming platform, broadcaster, or content creator.
4. Intellectual Property
The StreamWatch application, its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of StreamWatch and its licensors. The application is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both Kenya and foreign countries.
Our logo and name are trademarks of StreamWatch and may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of StreamWatch.
5. Open Source
StreamWatch is developed with an open-source ethos. While the primary mobile application itself may not be entirely open-source at this moment, it draws heavily from and is inspired by open-source projects like Streamlink CLI and Streamwatch-CLI. We encourage community contributions and transparency where possible. Please refer to our GitHub repository for licensing details and contribution guidelines.
6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our application after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
